Can't decide daycare
I am really struggling on which day care to choose for my 4 year old. And just want to take a poll on what others would choose.
FACILITY- Just opened, so super clean, everything's new. Super nice and fairly large. They have an actual cafeteria for all the kids, and they all eat at the same time. Because it just opened numbers are still pretty low which is really nice because it means smaller class size. However at full capacity it'll be large numbers but they'll still obviously follow state guidelines on the ratios. It's a little more pricey, but still affordable for us. They have a strict curriculum they follow to get your child kindergarten ready. Doesn't force naps, instead will allow quiet time on cot. Doesn't allow you to bring in a personal blanket (which this idk how my child will feel about) instead they supply one to all kids.
IN HOME- Obviously a lived in house still. It's 2 ladies who has 15 kids total. The owner does have 5 of her own kids who are sometimes there. Ages all varie from 2 infants and up. House is very chaotic and cluttered. She says she still teaches a preschool curriculum but doesn't force it. She does require nap time and said every kid naps for her(which kinda rubs me a little weird because I know my child will not nap). Cheaper by $100.
I'm confused on these two because I really liked the facility. I think that would honestly be a better fit especially with security measures and everything. But my child took to the in home a little better. When we toured the facility, the classroom he would be in was empty at the time so he didn't get to see the kids who are there or the fun things he might do.
Or do we possibly keep searching? I've been going off the DFS reports, and word of mouth on the local moms fb page. So I'm already doing my deep dive into it all, but there are a few others I could possibly try.
