Anybody terrified?

Question

This isn't my first but I'm scared to get a c-section again I'm not sure why because I have had one before with my 2nd child but I absolutely terrified. I have to constantly coach myself on a daily basis that everything will be fine. I'm terrified of something happening to me and my kids being without a mother.

I had a c section with both my girls (which are now 5&8). I'm now expecting a boy feb17 Also schedule c section & I'm petrified! I hate the whole process, the needle, the "slight pressure" which is much more than pressure/ it's the most awkward feeling in the world ; no pain. Idk y I'm so scared this time around! I'm already having anxiety

I suggest reading Grantly Dick-Read's book, Childbirth Without Fear. It's an oldie, but he brings up some interesting points on fear-tense-pain theory.

Also, remember that fear does not come from the Lord!! Read in the bible 2 Timothy 1:3 if you feel your sense of a sound-mind is under attack, pray it away. Be strong and have faith!

Its weird I'm not worried at all. I completely trust my doctor. He is wonderful, I just think the recovery is hell. It's the most pain I've ever been in. I keep telling myself the pain is worth it. But I think I'll be getting my tubes tied so I don't have to have another one

Have you considered a vbac? I will be attempting one after 2 csecs.
