Is Monistat supposed to burn? 😭

I just tried monistat for the first time. I used it around 8pm (it’s now almost midnight where I live) and it feels like it’s making the itching and irritation worse. I’ve had yeast infections before but normally use the off brand version but they didn’t have it so I grabbed monistat this time. I honestly don’t know what to do with myself and don’t know how I’m going to sleep with it feeling like this 😭😭😭😭

Yes it will burn and be irritated ((especially if it’s the first 2 days) because you’re basically putting antifungal on/in a sensitive area that’s already irritated love! I get yeast infections all the time. I used MONISTAT 7 this past time and it felt so much better than the other brands I have used in the past 🫶

Yes burning is a side effect of the medicine. I found the 7 day treatment burns less than the 1 or 3 day treatment

Idk about burning but I believe in the instructions it says something about symptoms getting worse as a side effect

But in my experience it usually burns if my infection is really bad because of the irritation I caused.
