Thought your period started but then found out you were pregnant

Has anyone ever thought their period started but it was super light/mainly spotting red/dark red/pink but then turned out pregnant anyway?? I was a day late and felt super confident I was pregnant. Then started bleeding. Only wore one tampon first thing and then only thong panty liners with spotting the rest of the day and next day and then nothing. I took a test and it came back faintly positive. I’m so hopeful that I am pregnant. But scared bc I had bleeding. More than what I read about implantation bleeding looks like.
