Have I got a right to be annoyed?

I moved in with my partner a few months back and we are expecting a baby early next year.

Every month he seemed to be short on money but enough to pay our rent and bills. This month he was really short when we went to pay for something at our local store, when we got home I asked him why he was so short when he’s paid a good wage every month.

Turns out he is still giving him mum £250 (302 dollars) to help her out because we moved out really quick and it left her short every month. Even tho she earns more than both of us a month.

I can’t help but feel annoyed about this. Why are you still taking money from your son when he has his own house, bills and baby on the way. Why is she still relying on his money.

From now on, you both should talk about finances together and, no one on this app knows why she still depends on that money, but maybe you should ask him in a relaxed manner and let him express himself before you express your feelings about it. Perhaps, just perhaps, there is a reasonable explanation to it.

You need to sit him down and discuss finances, it has to be a serious conversation you have a baby on the way, his mother will be fine 
Set up a joint account and put X month in every month then he can do whatever he wants with his left over money
But from now his own family needs to be a priority

You need to sit him down  remind him that a hospital  can cost up to $10,000 Just for giving birth. He needs to realize diapers, formula an everything else for a baby ain't cheap. You should have making sure all his bills have been paid off and any extra money should be going into savings so that you at least have some money to help pay off the bills that are going to start after your child is born. He's not living with his mother He should be giving her no money. If she's having problems then she needs to go get help.

Is he actually sitting down and budgeting his money? Is his mom also sitting down and budgeting her money? It’s only natural for some to keep helping out their parents, especially when they maybe struggling and need a little bit of help. Some of us were raised to help take care of our own; everything always finds a way to fall into place. His mom has lost income she needs. As long as it’s not a long term solution for her. As long as your needs are taken care of, that’s all that matters.
