How much do you tell your kids??

How much do you tell your kids about their private parts early on? We’ve talked boundaries of course but my 4 year old has just discovered his scrotum and is very concerned about the “marble inside it” I wasn’t prepared for that conversation yet 🤦‍♀️

Be open and honest using correct terminology from the beginning. 
He should know what a vulva and vagina are. He should know what a penis and scrotum are. He should know what a uterus is and that that is where a baby stays until they are born through the vagina. 
Any questions that come up, answer honestly. You can start vague and add on with age.

Always be truthful and tell them the names of their body parts. Let them learn their bodies in a safe environment, but keep reminding them of boundaries and safe vs unsafe people/places.

My son was 1.5. We use correct anatomical parts only. He knows what a penis and vagina is. He knows that no one should be touching his penis or butt but himself, his dads and I, and his doctor. He’s 7 now. No such thing as too early.
