Gestational Diabetes.

So I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes early in my pregnancy because I am overweight and have a family history of diabetes. My sugar levels have been pretty good but recently they started getting higher. My fastings are averaging 96 and all of my after meals are usually around 115-120. My doctor just recommended that I start taking insulin because my fasting number are “high”. I am soo scared to take the insulin because I’m afraid it will drop my blood sugar too low at night and I won’t wake up. Does anyone here take insulin and can you share your experiences with it?
