Hormones and heightened sense smell

I have a SEVERELY strong sense of smell currently that is frankly disturbing, where I can smell things behind multiple closed doors. My period is late (bc maybe I ovulated late??) and I’m wondering if this can cause a strong sense of smell? Like it’s honestly bizarre. I’ve never ever experienced something like this.

I had like 25% of this during my pregnancy, and I would have called that really strong, so when I say that this is way worse I mean it’s so bad! Even though my period is late I can’t be pregnant unless my husband’s vasectomy failed. Does anyone know what can cause this? I can’t get near food because it smells so strong I am gagging. It started 2 days ago but today it’s really unbearable. I’m also dizzy and have a headache.
