Your experience with the abortion pill?

Question

I just found out I'm pregnant and just set up an appointment to get the abortion pill next week. I'll be about almost 5 weeks when I hopefully take the pill. 
I'm feeling emotional, sad, and worried. I know that we are choosing the right decision for myself and my husband for all the right reasons but obviously, I still feel horrible about it. 
I'm working on getting myself emotional support. But I wanted to ask what the experience taking the abortion pill was like for others so I can best prepare. What was super helpful for you during the process? What happens after? How much did you bleed?

Don’t wait to long, because of the fetus growth. I wish I didn’t wait as long as I did. Though I fully regret my abortion, however I knew it was the right thing. I was about 9-10 weeks. My experience was same as giving birth. Also have someone their for you.

I had my first ever one back in September and was terrified of the side effects. Honestly, it wasn’t bad for me at all. I was shocked. Mild cramps here and there, the bleeding can last awhile. Up to weeks. You have to use pads at first, no tampons to eliminate your chance of getting an infection. Blood clots too and then after that, I was good to go. Everyone’s experience is different but i’m really happy with how mine went. I heard horror stories of those who couldn’t even get out of bed but mine wasn’t like that. I bought myself an electric heating pad so I could move around the house with it on. Definitely wanna take it easy for the first few days to give your body time to heal.

I’m so sorry to hear this. I just had a MA back in August. And honestly it was the hardest decision, but I know it was the right one for me. I was 6 weeks when I took the pill, my bleeding was light just like a regular period, for me at least. I won’t lie I’m still emotionally wrecked, just because I want a baby but it just wasn’t the right person. Just make sure you give yourself time to heal, that’s my only advice. Both emotionally and physically. Also i am here for you if you want to talk more. I know it helps me to talk about it

I took the pill at 9 weeks. I couldn’t stomach the ibuprofen so I just dealt with the pain. I took it a Saturday, felt like my insides were being ripped out. I bled a lot. On Sunday, I had to wear diapers because it was so much blood coming out. I changed at least 5 times. I had low blood pressure. I had to think about every step I took from my bedroom to the restroom. I really thought I could faint at any moment. I didn’t eat or drink anything all day. It was physically draining those two days. Emotionally/mentally I prepared myself and don’t regret it but I know it affects how I feel about getting pregnant again. I’m 38 and okay with not having children of my own. Be prepared (no plans to go out, maybe tell one person just in case, watch your favorite shows, etc).

I Was Super Early On When I Took The Abortion Pill. It Felt Just Like A Normal Period. However, It’s A Lot Of Bleeding So Prepare For That. Everyone Will Have A Different Experience. I’d Say, Make Sure Someone Is Around Who Can Take Care Of You.
