He was drunk when he called

Long story short my bf texted yesterday asking how my day was, I responded saying it was good and asked how his was. No response for over 6 hours which bugged me and then he randomly sent a pic of us and said miss you under it which I found odd, by ignoring my previous text, but I responded saying miss you too. Well he calls me and is drunk, speaking gibberish saying he misses me and then why are you mad at me…which I wasn’t. Anyways it made me realize that him texting “miss you” wasn’t special or meant anything cuz he was drunk…he texted this morning saying how he can’t wait to see me when he gets home from his trip. I haven’t spoken to him yet since cuz idk how to feel?? I’m not judging him, but him being drunk was a turn off by not actually meaning anything last night because then he got a bit hostile. He probably won’t even remember if I bring it up to him.
