Help with gas for newborn

Hilary
My dd is 3.5w and I've discovered that dairy in my diet is the likely culprit in causing her painful gas. I read that it can take 3w for the dairy protein to be out if my milk.. What can I do to expedite it getting out of my milk and to help relieve her gas? I've done massage and bicycle motions but it seems to be of little help, and of course burping. Gas drops makes me nervous bc she is still so young and small (7.5lbs). She poos before/ and sometimes after each feeding (a ton!) and screams when she does bc of all the wind that comes with it.

Talk to your dr about the gas drops because they really were a lifesaver for us! We started them early and all was fine.

Gripe water workes really well I only give a little bit. Like .25ml and peppermint works well too. And lay your baby on the left side and put the leg that's up to the belly and the other leg make sure it's straight. Your baby should let them rip laying in on the left side.   Hope that works. Good luck. 😍😍

I didn't think about it either. But it opens everything up to let everything out. Haha

Wow thanks! Had no idea about left side but I should've known as it's recommended for pregnant moms. ;-)

Gas drops are my favorite baby product! My little girl squeals in pain when she's gassy and the drops are the only way to fix her tummy pains. We tried gripe water, but she refused to swallow it.
