And I think I agree with him, I just like to give people the benefit of the doubt. It’s super stressing me out and I’m not sure what to do.

So I booked my mua a good while back now, and I’m due to be married in 31 days. I’ve known this lady for about a year, we have even spoke regarding unrelated topics to makeup and hair. She was very good at replying at first, until I paid her a deposit.

So, I messaged her a good few times to book my trial, she said she would look at her diary and let me know. I never heard anything back so I had to message her again to remind her. she wanted to do it only a couple of days in advance before the wedding. I asked if we could do it in the middle of this month like we originally planned. She never gave me a date and first but said she would do it in November, and I was completely fine with that, she’s busy with work etc, I get that.

So she agreed finally that we would do it on the 10th, this is tomorrow. This was arranged about a month ago. She seems like a experienced makeup and hair artist and has shown me her reviews and certifications so regardless of the poor communication I still trusted her.

I did notice it was hard for me to try and book a trial with her, she is very active on social media and wouldn’t respond to my messages for a week or more. that’s why it’s took so long to book my trial in. I messaged her two days to confirm that we was still on for the trial, she didn’t get back to me until the day before the trial despite being active on her socials, but again, I get it, she’s busy.

Today when she replied to my message she said that we would have to reschedule due to her having covid symptoms, I’ve asked her when she would be available and I haven’t heard anything back, she’s still posting and active on her socials. I don’t expect her to get back to me quickly all the time at all, like I said I get she’s busy but when she’s posting on the same platform I message her on I feel like she could get back to me in time.

I was extremely weary about booking with people incase I got let down on the day. I really want to communicate that I don’t quite feel secure that she is going to turn up on the day, with having to practically beg her to book my trial in that I have already paid for. I can’t help but feel like she is ignoring my messages sometimes.

Am I overthinking it? Like I said I 100% understand that things happen and people get busy and unexpected things happen often. But I am still a paying client. She hasn’t really even spoken to me about what I want, what products she uses, my skin type, hair type and these are all things that I need to converse with her, or if there are any products that I need to supply her with on the day.

Planning a wedding is super stressful anyway, my fiancé isn’t confident that she is going to show up on the day and neither am I. Communication was great until the deposit was paid. But like I said, I could be overthinking it? I just feel like she doesn’t want to communicate whatsoever and really isn’t up

For the job. I messaged her when I was trying to book my trial and I asked her if she is still okay to do my hair and makeup on the day, she said let me check my diary despite already paying her a deposit and telling her the dates. Then she said she is available and can still do it for me.

What do I do? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Do I wait longer? See what date she gives me for the next trial?
