What do i say to end a relationship?

Hi all, I was wondering if you can advice me on how to do this. I'mwanting to end my almost 8 monthsrelationshipwith someone. We both tried tomake it work, however, I feel as thoughwe are not compatiblefor each other. I have a more friendship type feeling than in a relationship type feeling. Currently, i have asked him to make more of an effort with me and take me out on dates. I mentioned this is as his last chance. He has taken me on a date since but as i continue im becoming more certain that we not meant to be together. Ihave mentioneda few times in the past 4 monthsthat we dont seem to be compatible in a lot of things and i have triedtoend it a few times now. I Don'twant to end it in a horrible way, i know he will get upset that im ebding it after he is trying. But Idont want to lead him on anymore. Each time i try to say lets end it here or youre better of with someone else he persuades me to stay. Any advice with be appropriative.
