How to teach a man good oral??

My current partner is the love of my life. We have the best sex I've ever had and everything is wonderful, until he goes down on me. It feels like he is just flailing and doesn't feel like he reads me at all. I have tried to explain when things feel good, but then he just does that and it doesn't work.
