Scarlet fever?
Just looking for some advice before the GP opens later,
My son 3, has had scarlet fever a few months ago.
Since Saturday he keeps getting very hot but wouldn’t let me take his temp. When he has calpol his body heat goes back to cool. But without it he’s so hot to touch.
I managed to take it last night and one thermometer read 36.4 another 37.2 so I’m unsure if they’re broken.
His symptoms are;
-possibly strawberry tongue
-fever (?)
-complaining his mouth hurts
-barking cough
-NO rash
-not eating
-struggling to sleep. Wakes up crying
