Beginning New
I wanted to come on here mostly to document my story. I did something slighty similar with my first journey of ttc. Right now in my life my husband and I have been married almost 5 years with one perfectly healthy daughter. Recently we have decided to try IUI assisted treatment again to have our hopefully second child. I must say this time around I am way more calm and relaxed about the whole process. I think that is because I know the IUI will work, it is now a matter of when. Currently we have gone through all of our preliminary testing. First bloodwork and transvaginal ultrasound for me. Bloodwork and ultrasound must be done on cycle day 3. I also completed my HSG. The HSG must be completed on cycle days 5-11 and the cost of that was 241$..we do have BCBS PPO. If anyone has questions I will be happy to answer with the knowledge I do have with thr experiences I have already have had as well. Good luck to all the women who are ttc. Update: January.10th we have started a cycle. I am cycle day 9. I did take the stimulation medication letrozole cycle days 3-7. I am also on dexamethasone starting cycle day 1 until trigger shot. I go tomorrow for ultrasound (cycle 10) and bloodwork. My husband and i were shocked at the price difference for the IUI this time. 1550$ for cycle start up and IUI procedure. I am realistically hopeful. And excited. Many things are different this time. My stress is lower. My health is better. I have high hopes secretly. Hoping to do IUI next week sometime then on to tww. (Also purchased pregnyl trigger shot $ 109). YIKES. New update: cycle day 10 went to doctor. Follicle size 15mm and 10mm. Follicle need to be at least 18mm. I was also put on estrogen tablets. Which i have never experienced before. Next appointment in 2 days to see if Follicle has grown more. Hoping for IUI early next week. UPDATE: January 14th. Estrogen tablets suck they make me feel dizzy. It will be worth it though! My follicle grew to 20mm. I did my trigger shot tonight. IUI on Tuesday. Then off to my tww.
