This is just gross and ignorant. Everyone really needs to understand that breastfeeding is the best for a child. And if you have to do it in public then you have to do it. People are going to stare at you if your breastfeeding or if you have a baby screaming bloody marry because your baby is hungry. I would rather take my boob out and feed my child than have her scream.
"However, breastfeeding in public infuriates me, because it means women have to bear their chest and nipples to do it, and that causes a distraction and sets a bad example for people, and especially, small children. We can’t have that, we just can’t,” the New Hampshire Rep. said.
As for children seeing a boob. It's a boob. Their moms have boobs and were probably breastfed. And if they were bottle fed I'm sure their baby's still saw their mothers boobs getting dressed.
I don't understand what is setting a bad example to children. I think it's a good example for children to see a mother breastfeeding because then that child will know when they have babies to breastfeed.
I cover myself up. But being a mom you sometimes forget to bring something to cover yourself up so there for you have to pop your boob out and feed your baby, even when a baby is feeding you don't see a whole boob. And you don't see a nipple because that's in the babies mouth.
for the asshole saying if he sees a mom feeding their baby in public he's going to play with their nipples. Well... Maybe he should be arrested for touching a woman without permission. Isn't that called sexual assault?!?! Or maybe he should be considered as a sexual predator
He said men go to jail for waking around with their penis out. And they are called sexual predators.
A penis has nothing to do with feeding a child. The only somewhat good thing about a penis is to get a woman pregnant.
Women should not be scared to feed their child in public. I agree with putting a blanket over them but like I said were moms. And we have a lot to think about and sometimes things get forgotten.
This guy should not be a state representative.
