6 weeks after birth

I had a vaginal and it was only level 2 but I still got stitched up and was in massive amounts of pain (as any one is with any kind of birth) and I'm wondering if anyone stuck with the 6 weeks to wait for sex. So far I've came almost 4 weeks with none, haven't really been in the mood either, but does everyone stick by that rule? I'm scared 1) I don't want to get pregnant again and 2) if my stitches haven't dissolved I don't want to rip them or mess anything up. What did you do?
