Sore throat instant pain relief?

My throat hurts so bad i cant sleep. Ive taken nyquil with tylenol pm extra strength. Drank warm broth. Cold water. Steamy shower. Humidifier. Cough drops. Nothing is relieving the pain. If i do manage to fall asleep i wake up 30 min later from pain. Suggestions?

Chop up 1 raw clove of garlic and swallow with water. Your breath will be rank but it helps with sore throat immensely

You could have a strep infection which needs antibiotics to treat it, maybe go see a dr.

Take a shot of whiskey and chase it with a spoonful of honey with cinnamon on it. I swear it helps! On the other hand though, look in your mouth/throat with a light and see if it looks swollen and/or has any white patches on it. If so, that's an infection and you need antibiotics.

Gargle salt water to kill the infection. Hot tea with honey/lemon and a half a shot of whiskey/scotch to soothe your throat. (Listen, i know it makes me sound like a drunk floozy but it ALWAYS works)
