Dissolutionof marriage

Has anyone gone througha dissolution of marriage or know anyone that has? My husband is moved and ready to divorce me already, he brought up a getting a dissolution instead of a divorce. He says he looked into it and sounds like the best route to go. Is it though? I dont want his new gf putting ideas in his head about screwing me over, i honestly trust neither of them. They both already stole a lot from me, i dont need them screwing me over with this. Help.
