Experience with TTC after being on depo shot?

I was on the depo shot for many years. It took me a year to get my periods back (had to go on the pill actually to jump start my periods). I've had regular cycles for a year now, had everything tested too and we still aren't pregnant. Wondering if anyone else has an experience similar after being on depo. I'm starting to wonder if depo Provera made me very infertile. 😢
