Countertop Sterilizer vs. Microwaveable Bags

Hi all - I know there’s debate about the need to sterilize bottles/breast pump parts but I’m a bit of a germaphobe so I plan to do it regardless. 
Want to hear your experience & opinions on buying a countertop-type sterilizer vs. using the microwave bags. I’m not concerned about cost but care a lot about speed and convenience. Thanks in advance!

I'm a germaphobe as well, but I just used the sanitize setting on our dishwasher. During our kitchen reno we used a countertop sterilizer as we didn't even have a microwave at the time and we needed to wash dishes in a bucket.

I prefer the countertop one since there are times you only need to sterilize a single pacifier or teething toy and it seems silly to use an entire bag for such a small thing.

We have an avent bottle sterilizer. It’s super easy. Wash the bottles, pacifier, etc., add 7ml of water, place everything in there, close the lid and microwave for 4 minutes. They remain sterile for up to 24 hours as long as the lid remains shut.
