Am I wrong for not putting his last name on my baby?

When I found out I was pregnant and told him, the first thing he did was block me. Then he continued to deny my baby to everyone. He constantly begged me to abort. Throughout the whole pregnancy he hasn’t gone to one appointment, hasn’t satisfied not one craving, and has not asked about the baby. He just calls once a month to ask how’s the baby. I answer “good” and that’s the end of the phone call. Throughout my entire pregnancy he has been out and about with other women. When he’s drunk he shows up to my house begging to be a family, live together, etc, but once sober he goes back to regular (ignoring each other.)

I don’t plan on having him in the delivery room either. At first I was really depressed but time has helped me heal and accept the situation for what it is.

Am I making the right choice? I know down the road it’ll save me a bunch of problems…
