It is very very unlikely that you will conceived during your period. That being said, sperm can survive inside of you for up to five days after you have sex. This means, that while you can't necessarily get pregnant during the period, fertilization can occur after the period is over. If you're trying to avoid pregnancy, it's best not to take chances.
