He said he would file for harassment

I have been dating this guy I have been there for him. Recently he asked if he can borrow money and he would give it back and give me a little more for helping him out . I told him as long as I had the money back by a certain time to pay my mortgage. He agreed and told me not to worry. The day of he text me and says he will send my money back I need for mortgage by end of d. So the day goes by and I text him and he says he’s having issues and he has no money at all . I was shocked. And hurt because I have literally always come through for this man spending money when it comes to him. So this one time he couldn’t do the same. So I tell him I need space I need a couple of days because I was so angry and hurt because a week prior he hounded me for money to borrow because his car got towed and I scraped up enough for him to handle it. So today we are going back in forth texting then he tells me to stop texting him because he doesn’t want to file for harassment. I immediately stopped texting . My question is what should I do. I already know I’m out of 2000 dollars. Should I block him and never respond to a text or call from him again.
