Contractions after membrane sweep

Hi guys! I am 38 weeks and yesterday I had a very intense membrane sweep because baby is already messuring to be almost 9 pounds. Anyways I was already 2 Cm dilated and my doctor said she was barely inside and can feel his head and he super low. After she did the sweep I was fine and about an hour later I started cramping and then contractions started! And they got super intense and lasted from 11:30am til 7pm then they slowed down. I couldn’t sit through them or talk through them. They were so bad. But then all of a suddenThey were still there just not as crazy. And now it’s the next morning everytime I stand up or go pee I feel like he’s sitting in my butt and like I need to poop but when I try nothing comes out. Anyone else experience having contractions after a sweep and they just stop?
