98th percentile baby

I’m looking for thoughts about delivery time for my son who’s in the 98th percentile. At our 34 week ultrasound he was weighing 6 lbs 14 oz. Obviously I know this can be off my a pound but he’s still a large baby for sure. My doctor is hoping to induce around 37-38 but would like us to start trying to naturally get him to come on his own at 36 weeks. From doing research, a baby born at 36 weeks is at risk of behavioral issues, cognitive delays, and other issues later in life. However, babies born large are at higher risk of diabetes, hypertension, and asthma. I guess I’m just trying to get opinions on the sweet spot to have him for his best chances. Thoughts?
