How long did it take you?

Hi all, feeling discouraged as I got my period again today. It’s the third month we’ve been trying (second that we’ve reeeally tried due to husbands work-travel schedule).. but being 34, and mostly healthy, I just hoped it would happen right away. I know it’s different for everyone, but I feel it would help to hear different experiences conceiving for the first time in your 30s. How long did it take you to get pregnant? 😩💙

I strongly suggest reading the impatient woman’s guide to getting pregnant. I just finished it and it helped my mindset SO much. She really lays out the statistics on how long it can take to conceive and the odds are in our favor. I conceived my first when I was 29 (took 5 months but 6 cycles as I have short cycles) and lost baby #2 at 9 weeks in October after trying for 2 cycles. It really varies from person to person. OPKs will definitely help, try to BD every day in your fertile window if you can. ❤️
