Lack of water causes dryness ?

Hey guys…does lack of water causes dryness down there? It’s very hard for me to consume the amount of water I need. I drink only about 2 bottles a week which I know is very bad. I try to do better but every time I have a choice between water & soda, I always tend to drink soda.

Yes it does. It can cause dryness everywhere all over and inside your body. Try drinking flavored water, or flavored seltzer water. Even water with some juice in it is better than no water. Sometimes when I'm really thirsty and just cannot drink water, I will fill a glass up with ice, half water and half orange juice. I would try to stay away from soda though. You can also make up for water with watery foods such as watermelon or soups.

You're not supposed to drink all of your water needs. You're supposed to eat most of it and only drink water (or any liquid other than coffee or alcohol which both dehydrate you) when thirsty. Eat food high in water content like cucumbers, tomatoes, watermelon etc. It's better to drink non dark soda vs nothing at all so if you have an easier time drinking bubbly drinks than still water, opt for the light colored stuff or even drinks like La Croix. But definitely focus on eating your water vs drinking it. All of my doctors and dietician and nutritionist have told me this.

FYI: if you're feeling thirsty you're already dehydrated. Do NOT only drink when thirsty as a below comment suggested. If you like soda and have trouble with water you should try yhose Sparkling ICE drinks. They're really good for you, tastes like soda, and only has 5 calories! You should check them out.
