Update: Second draw 48 hours later is 7672, sent on the app with no reassurance that its ok it didn't double (until Monday) so I'm currently questiong if i want to stay with this clinic because it feels unprofessional.

I had an early miscarriage last cycle so this cycle am doing beta's to make sure everything is on track. I had one yesterday and got my results today: HCG- 4954.0, Progesterone- 17.80 (ng/ml) From this my clinic has decided I'm more than 4 weeks but less than 5 weeks. My apps all agree im 6 weeks 4 days. If she is correct then I got my first postitive test around 3 days dpo which isnt possible (or baby stopped developing 1-2 weeks ago but progesterone doesn't suggest that). Is it standard for an OB to use a single beta result to estimate gestational age? Temp and LH tests for ovulation so its pretty much confirmed. My question here isn't how viable my pregnancy is, I'll know that Friday after second beta, just mostly wondering how she used a single beta result to date my pregnancy. Wondering why she would share that info without further tests seeing that they have on my file that I'm almost 2 weeks further along.
