Any advice for 3 hr glucose test?

This is my 3rd baby and with the other two glucose tests I had eggs and toast and still passed (my dr at the time okayed that) but I took my one hour fasted like they suggested this time and failed 🙃 so I’m expecting to not pass the 3 hour but any advice on making it tolerable to be there for 3 hours!? And anyone who’s had gestational diabetes does that change how often you have drs appointments?

Hiiii! I failed my one hour test with my first pregnancy, passed the 3 hour. With my second pregnancy failed both the 1 hour and 3 hour. Was diagnosed with gestational diabetes around 28 weeks in my second pregnancy. I controlled my blood sugar with my diet and oral medication once a day. Having GD and being pregnant is NOT fun, but it’s doable. I was seen more often once I had the diagnosis. 2 non stress tests a week every week and at least 1-2 ultrasounds before delivery. The main reason you are monitored more during pregnancy with GD is to make sure baby is still moving and active as GD increases risk for still birth.

For my one hour I ate eggs and drank almost 2 bottles of water leading up to the hour before my appointment . Passed it this time . My last pregnancy I did not pass the first one. But the 3 hour is just so ridiculous I would do anything to avoid it. (Never had a high random glucose nor have I ever had gestational diabetes, not saying someone should ignore diabetes) but seriously I think being hydrated helped me because those glucose drinks make me more impaired than a couple cocktails! I know the three hour is supposed to be fasting but don't skip out on drinking water.
