A few years ago I received a very aggressive chemotherapy but towards the end of treatment I developed pretty severe vaginal itching and pain. At first I thought it was just yeast infections but months later (when my period came back) I was still dealing with severe pain. The pain was so bad that a vaginal exam felt liked a cheese grater ripping up my skin. Almost two years later and 5 drs later I finally got a diagnosis of vaginal atrophy. Since then I’ve tried everything the Obgyn had recommended estrogen creams, vitamin E, boric acid, regular creams, etc and nothing as helped. I can’t take the pill or many hormones due to medical conditions. I’ve tried dilators but still painful and I’m unable to get wet or feel much down there anymore. The pain is so bad lube doesn’t do a thing!. I’m only 23 and never even had sex before and now I’m just worried I’ll never get to experience that either. All my hormone blood work is normal so just confused on why my body is like this. Hoping someone has answer thanks.
