Just wanted to share my story as so many of your stories/ questions have helped me!

BACKGROUND: I have been off of birth control for a little over 18 months (I was only on it for a year), I know it can take a while for your hormones to regulate.. but at 12 months my periods were still very irregular so I did hormone testing.

SEPTEMBER: My DHEA-S was very high at 526, my doctor told me that it was a grey area but that I probably had PCOS (lots of facial hair). I’m at a healthy weight and my insulin levels were fine. I was not “trying” (not tracking temps or ovulation) to get pregnant but also not preventing so I was getting a little worried. I was offered a fertility referral and went on my way. I decided to track my ovulation at home for a few months just to get some more information before pursuing <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">fertility treatment</a>..

December 6th: I start my period which lasted only two days (weird for me but did happen once before).

December 23rd: I notice some pink tinged “discharge” following sexual intercourse, just a one time thing as I was cleaning up. Didn’t think much of it, just figured I was probably about to start my period a little early.

December 26th: I’m snowboarding and I feel this strange feeling in my uterus, the best way I could describe it would be like a small nerve twitch or a mini electrical impulse.. never felt anything like it. It was not painful just weird.

December 27th: The weird twitching feeling continued all day. The pink tinged discharge + the twitching got me thinking so I decided to take a test (6 days before period was due).

11pm and the first line was instantly visible (top test) I thought it might be one of the infamous indents because I was just in disbelief.

December 29th pm: Second test

I should note that I never had a positive ovulation test, though I did have one that looked pretty close (test line was not darker but was as dark as the control) on December 19th. I’m guessing I missed the peak?!

If I’m going off of that ovulation test I assume that would have put the test around 8dpo?

January 2nd (day before missed period): Confirmed with blood hcg=502.
