My son's father cheated on me the entire time I was pregnant with him. He ended up giving me an STD and cheated with my best friend and got her pregnant. She had an abortion. I eventually got out of the relationship. It was hard because I was financially dependent on him. I didn't tell him I had our son and planned on raising him alone but he got me subpoenaed to court for a paternity test and I was gonna be put in jail if I didn't comply. I did and he got visitation rights which turned to split custody when our son was 4. Our son is 14 now and he spends 4 out of 7 days of the week with his dad. He is extremely close with his dad. If we argue he will literally call his dad to cry and vent about me. He has tiktok and posts tiktoks joking with his dad and CLEARLY prefers his father over me. My son's Facebook has pictures with his friend and his dad. He had maybe two pictures of me. I've always done every I could to be a good mom and just feels like I'm a second class parent compared to his dad. Especially when his dad was horrible to me.
