Hair help

The past several years, when ever it gets cold out, my scalp gets itchy and flaky, my hair get oily and dirty faster than in the summer, and it's just annoying. I have long thick hair so cold weather is when I get to let it down and not die of a heat stroke. I don't have this issue in warm weather.

Any insight/suggestions/advice?

It sounds like you may be experiencing dry scalp during the colder months. This is a common issue due to the lack of humidity in the air. To combat this, try using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner specifically designed for dry scalp. Additionally, avoid washing your hair too frequently as it can strip away natural oils. If your scalp still feels itchy, you can try using a hydrating hair mask or applying a small amount of coconut oil to your scalp before washing. Remember to stay hydrated and consider using a humidifier in your home to add moisture to the air.
