Have I ovulated or just body regulating

I have come off the pill mid November had a withdrawal bleed a week later. Then I cannot remember if I had a period after or not. I then started monitoring temps ends of December and opks. OPKs were dark after Christmas but not positive and have been faint since. Unfortunately thermometer didn’t come until end of December. I monitor at same time every day as soon as I wake but my temps are very variable. Is this due to coming off the pill/trying to ovulate?
