Toddler talking?

Hello mamas so my 19 month old will say some words like mama, dada, car, tree, go, blue and no. What are some ways for you stay at home mamas that helped you get your little one to talk? I do some flash cards and read books. What other ways can I try.

Yes singing is great! I also name everything. Everything! And when I took them for walks. Name the trees. the BIG GREEN trees and the small trees. The flowers. The RED flowers… go to the park and push them on the swing… when putting them in the swing say “put IN swing”” 
“PUSHHHHH swing. One, twooo, three PUSHHH” just things like that… when dressing them say “put arm in shirt. Arm in. Well done!” Etc etc

You might teach them a few asl words as well. Before my toddler had worked out how to say a lot of words, he could sign them just fine. We would verbalize and sign at the same time so he still learned how to  say the word. We’ve naturally dropped asl as he speaks clearer but plan to introduce it with our second because it made life SO much easier

You just need to talk to them. Read, sing, narrate what you're doing. Go on walks and point things out to them. My son actually talked rather late and then had what the doctor called a "vocabulary explosion." Even if they're not saying it right now, they can be squirreling away all this information for later when they do start talking. Babies/toddlers are smarter than we give them credit for. You could also teach them sign language, which could help when they're getting frustrated trying to communicate.

Ms Rachel!! And be interactive with Ms Rachel too! Don’t just always plop and walk away. 
Label everything y’all play with. Try and repeat the word 10+ times. Ex- roll a ball back and forth and say “ball” “rolling the ball” “blue ball” “rolling the blue ball”..over and over.
Narrate everything you do. “Mommy’s chopping the onions. Chop chop chop.” 
Do lots of action words and animal sounds.

Keeps words simple. And keep repeating.. reading is a must and music.

Sing lots of songs and nursery rhymes. Narrate everything you’re doing. Ask them lots of questions and talk to them a lot even though they can’t respond verbally yet. Flash cards and formal language training aren’t necessary unless it’s fun for both of you.
My daughter spoke just a little more than that at 19 months, but just after two years old her vocabulary exploded (which is normal). Keep giving language input until then!
