5 days over due and being induced in 2 days..

Caitlin

Can anyone give me some positive stories about being induced? Everyone has literally scared the hell out of me with negative experiences (unbearable pain, days long)… I had a c section with my first baby (elected) as she was extended breech. I’ve tried EVERYTHING to get the ball rolling with baby no.2 and nothings happening 🙁 so scared of being induced because it’s not ‘natural labour’…. I won’t be having anymore babies so I was really hoping I’d get to experience normal labour and contractions.

I had an appointment the day after my due date (baby is all happy and healthy which is the main thing) but she was unable to do a sweep as it was so uncomfortable for me I asked her to stop. She said my cervix was tucked behind baby’s head and wouldn’t be able to do it without untucking it. Safe to say I told her to leave my lady bits alone because she’d already caused me a lot of discomfort. So I didn’t find out if I’d even dilated at all…. I’m worried my cervix is still going to be in the same place and completely closed when I go for my induction in 2 days. I’ve been doing floor exercises, ball exercises, curb walking, drinking raspberry leaf tea and NOTHING is giving me any signs of labour.

Does anyone have any tips that may help? Or even a pleasant story of being induced after a c section? 🥲 I’m 5 days overdue and I feel like I’m on a time scale of 48 hours now to get myself into natural labour 🙈
