I went to urgent care for a uti as my OBs office was closed and they prescribed me macrobid (100mg twice daily) since I have allergies to other antibiotics. The Dr there said it was the safest option and I’ve looked it up a bunch and everything I’ve found said it’s safe to take in the 2nd trimester and should only be avoided during the 1st trimester and if you’re 38+ weeks(I’m almost 27w). I trust the Dr but I can’t help my anxiety telling me it’s not safe and I can’t contact my Ob until Monday

Has anyone else taken macrobid? Any side effects?

Just trying to ease my mind on this so anything is appreciated 😭♥️
