Is Obama's executive actions impeding on your second amendment?

In my opinion, he is not taking away anyone's guns ;so, no he is not taking away anyone's right to bear arms. He is not limiting semi automatic weapons or ammunition. He is funding for background checks to be strenuously used across the states, flea markets, and internet; with increase measures for mental health evaluations and help with the mentally ill. Also, implementing research on making guns that are distinctly the person it is register to by fingerprint scanners.

But, that is my opinion. What is yours?

This ONLY applies to people who make their living selling guns. Vendors, basically.

I, as a citizen not running a business that sells firearms, could still sell a gun to just any Tom, Dick, or Harry without worrying about a background check.

As a gun owner I don't see an issue on the surface but I don't know what all is included in his action. A lot of times there are hidden agendas so we'll see. But I don't think it's a problem to have background checks and prohibit people on the no-fly list. I think the 2nd amendment is extremely important but keeping guns away from the mentally ill and/or terrorists is always a good idea.

So I don't live in the States,  and before today,  didn't even realize you could buy guns off the Internet. Does that not seem like the most insane, unsafe idea ever? 
You can't even buy prescription drugs off the Internet (legally) but you can buy guns??

I think this is necessary, especially the part about limiting those with mental illnesses so buy guns. If it saves one life, it's worth it to me. I've lost someone close to me by suicide because he was able to buy a gun after spending a month in a psych ward for a prior suicide attempt! I thought how could he legally buy a gun in that state?!! This new regulation may not have saved his life, but it may have... We'll never know!

As a gun owner, I support the changes he has proposed. I will still be able to purchase and own guns. There are no impediments to my ownership.

It's a shame people are so blinded by hate for the president that they call his show of emotions an act. I am not a fan of the president, but that doesn't mean I don't respect his decision. I agree with it even! He isn't taking away anyone's guns so he isn't really impeding the second amendment.

Not yet, but eventually I'm sure we'll get to that point.
It just seems to me that if it were such a common sense solution, why does it require an executive order? If the people are on board, why not take the more democratic route? If it has so much support by the people, it shouldn't be a problem.

I think this is a pretty good idea. It seems annoying if you sell guns, but the idea behind it makes sense. Also I had no idea that the FBI receives do many background check request for guns a day. I forgot how many the news said last night but I think they said about 63,000. I'll double check that later. But hiring more people to do background checks, personalizing guns with finger prints, and better mental health evaluations sound like a good start, to me anyway.
