Q re Overdose
TW suicide
Please this is NOT for me. My Stepmom attempted suicide this evening, took about a month's worth of antidepressants and a month's worth of sleeping pills.
She was still responsive when my dad noticed she was starting to slur her speech, but as taking sleeping pills isn't unusual for her he didn't pay too much attention. However he noticed that her breathing was getting more laboured and then he called the ambulance.
She is completely unresponsive and on a ventilator as she stopped breathing on her own. It's been about six/ seven hours. The doctor thinks she's got a good chance of recovery but is concerned about her heart.
There's not a whole lot of information on this sort of thing online that I can see... Does anyone have any reassuring words?
Thank you.
@Tam thank you so much for sharing. That is reassuring. From the little I did read it's not unusual to be unresponsive for a couple of days. I'm glad you're on a happier path.
