What’s going on?
For two months I had cramping in my lower stomach, all through my pelvic area. I also had back pain and headaches. My stomach cramps felt like mild period cramps daily all through out each day. I also had nausea that would pop up at various times each day. Pregnancy tests were all negative. Scheduled an appt with my pcp who had me go get an ultrasound bc to her my symptoms pointed to cysts and she also sent in a referral to my gyno. Ultrasound showed everything to be normal. During the week of my ultrasound(it began several days before), I experienced the worst period of my life. I have always had heavy bleeding, but that moment was extremely bad. I had a lot of tissue like clotting very large in size. I also usually clot during my periods but this was much larger and the quantity over the week of my period was much much more than usual. I had to change a pad like every 30 minutes and even then I did not feel like it was enough. After this period occurred, my cramping and nausea was no longer there. Several weeks later I finally had my appt with my gyno. She said sometimes our cycles will work themselves out and it may have just been a lot of build up that just needed to get out, but she told me that if I continued to have anymore problems than to give her a call and she would run some tests. She did to a pap and pelvic exam. When I got those results all was normal. Now it has been 6.5 weeks since the start of my last period (which was the bad one) with only having one day of spotting two days ago. I have only ever been late once and that was earlier in the year, in the spring, when I was 6.5 weeks late. I worried then, but didn’t act on my worry since my period was right back to “my normal” the next month. What could be going on? I am also in my early thirties. Could that have anything to do with it? I also am experiencing chest and back acne which is also odd because I haven’t had any issues with a lot of acne since I was in my teens/ early twenties. Something has got to be off.
