5th week 1d ultrasound but nothing seen

Hello girls!! My last period started on 11th of December, so on 15th of January I should be 5th weeks and 1d. I go to my dr because I had an early miscarriage 2 months ago, but he did not see anything not even the gestational sac. Is this normal?? Any other similar experience? My dr said that everything can happen from normal pregnancy (if I ovulated later) to miscarriage. My next appointment is on 24th of December to check again.. but I can’t wait.. I am so worried and scared and moody

***UPDATE*** I had a transvaginal ultrasound today and we finally saw the gestational sac and the yolc sac!!! We are over the moon 🥰🥰🥰🥰 The Dr said that I am probably around 5 weeks so I probably ovulated later!!!
