I haven't been able to see my brother for a while. My brother is gay and he has a boyfriend and I hate his boyfriend. His boyfriend constantly puts him down in front of us. Will say things like "You're lucky you have me because you're useless." Or when he makes a mistake like he accidentally broke something say "You're lucky I love you because you're kind of worthless." And laugh about it. He was doing this all yesterday and finally I snapped and said "Do you really think you're funny! Because you're just an asshole." My brother told me to stop and I said "No! You don't deserve to be treated like this. You're being an asshole to my brother for no reason!" My brother then takes my arm and yanks me towards the door and tells me to stop and to go because all I'm doing is making things worse. I tried to tell him I'm not trying to make things worse. I can't stand by and see him treated like this but he told me I need to go and "You're making everything worse for me. Please just go! If you wanna help me you can do it by NOT helping me. Please go!" And slammed the door. I tried to reach out and apologize for crossing boundaries but he hasn't responded to me. I thought I was doing a good thing by sticking up for him. I don't want to see any of my family or friends treated poorly.
