Umbilical cord fell

Hi i had my baby about 2 weeks ago his umbilical cord fell off and at the pediatric they used silver nitrate to remove excess and now his belly button looks like this is this normal? does it look infected ? they said i could shower him regularly after 24 hrs i’ve just been scared since it look very red.
