Mothers of middle schoolers

How responsible are your middle schoolers with nice things? We finally got her a phone and she completely cracked the screen the 1st week. She’s lost AirPods twice! We’ve been through about 10 water bottles this school year. She will leave behind her jacket, bags,etc…. Is this normal behavior?? I’m ready to not buy her a single thing again
