Dumped him over joke I don’t find funny

I dumped my bf after 3 months of dating because he made a joke about us breaking up. He said he didn’t recall making the joke but profusely apologized to me and said he obviously didn’t mean it if it was in a “joking manner” and again said he can’t remember. I said I don’t find that shit funny, and on to the next!! 🙄
