Twin girls ๐ (long story)
We were scheduled to have a c-section December 8th right at 37weeks. Baby A was measuring smaller than my Doctor would like so he didn't want me going any further than that. November 30th was a normal day. I went to my doctor's appointment (they were seeing me twice a week for ultrasounds to check on babies) everything was fine. Later on that night I started having "Braxton hicks" didn't think too much of it since I'd been having them for weeks now. An hour goes by and they became more consistent. My boyfriend talks me into calling my Doctor to let him know and he tells me to go to the hospital just to get checked out (I know it's better safe than sorry but the Braxton hicks didn't hurt at all and I felt like I was wasting everyones time lol) Well we get to the hospital, they put me on the monitor to see if I was having contractions and indeed I was. They were 2-3 minutes apart. The doctor that was there for the night asked if he could check my cervix and I was 6 centimeters dilated and 90% effaced ๐ณ To say I was shocked is an understatement because I wasn't in any pain at all! After that, everything went so fast. Before I knew it I was being rolled into the OR for my C-section! Nylah (Baby A) was born first on December 1 @1:36am weighing 4pounds 2ounces and Novah (Baby B) was born @1:36am, literally a few seconds apart, weighing 4pounds 12ounces. After they were born they both were rushed away by the nurses. I didn't get to see my babies, only hear their cries. Hours went by and that same day me and their dad was finally able to see them. Baby B was doing good so she was in the normal nursery but we found out Baby A intestines were tangled having so they had to send her to a different hospital. Me and baby B were discharged from the hospital two days later and let me say that was the worst feeling ever! Going into the hospital with two babies and leaving with just one. My boyfriend would go the to hospital to visit baby A everyday and FaceTime me so I could see her and so she could hear my voice. As much pain as the car ride was I was able to visit her after a few days of being home. She had so many ultrasounds, feeding tubes, IV's... I could barely see what my baby truly looked like ๐ฅบ By the grace of god her intestines untangled themselves and day 16 we were able to hold our sweet girl for the first time since they had been born. Day 19 we got the call saying she was ready to come home! Meet my sweet babies, Nylah Skye and Novah Reign ๐๐
