My boyfriend has brought up me being a stay at home mom after the baby is born. His main points are his mom doesn’t really want to watch any more babies. She would 100% watch my kid if I did go back to work but like she’d like to retire soon. Would definitely have to take the first 3 if not 6 months so I’m not leaving a literal infant with her. Second reason and the one that’s got my brain spinning. Our oldest will be going into school this year. My boyfriend’s work schedule would allow him to pick our son up but then drop him off at his mom’s on the way to work. My schedule could 1 of two options. Either I could work in the mornings and be around for pick up and to put my son to bed at a normal hour. Which would leave the question of how does he get to school. Or I could drop my son off at school and work later in the evening but then I wouldn’t be home till 11 o’clock at night. So then my son wouldn’t be going to bed till almost midnight on school nights and I don’t really like that either. Like we aren’t the only ones not doing the whole 9-5 job thing. How do the rest of yall do it?! I really need someone to be like “ya this is my life but we do xyz and get on great.” Random thing to stress about in January but this school thing got me thinking.
