I went to a job interview today for a Salon/Spa receptionist position. This salon is very fancy and massive. They do everything there and it’s a very respected salon. During my interview the manager stated since it’s all women working at the salon it’s only natural for gossip to happen. I understand that but what she said next threw me off. She said “ the women will talk shit about you and you’re just gonna have to deal with it. You need a backbone to work here. “ It just seemed like highschool mean girl drama. Even when I was waiting in the lobby the two girls at the front desk were saying very mean things about their coworkers and cussing in every sentence right in front of me and other clients waiting for their appointments. It just seemed like negative energy and a bunch of mean girls.
